I'm an independent game maker turning my creative passion into games that I hope others will enjoy playing. I grew playing dice & strategy games like Steve Jackson's Car Wars, RPG's such as 1 on 1 Adventure Gamebooks, and reading solo gamebooks like Fighting Fantasy, Choose Your Own Adventure, and Endless Quest. As a kid I created games, comic books and gamebooks - many of which I still have. But as well all know, life gets in the way and time flies by. Even though the years have passed by, my creativity and desire to make fun games always remained. As luck would have it, my family and I started looking into buying a new home. Why was this lucky? Well, it caused me to go through containers and storage bins that I've had sealed for 30 years. Inside I found a treasure trove of gamebooks and comic books that sparked my desire to create my own games. I started with what I thought would be a simple concept - a solo MMA style fighting game where the player can run their own galactic fighting league and promote the fights they want to see. If I would have chosen a galactic boxing style game I would have created less headaches for myself. However, the variety of strikes in mixed martial arts combined with ground attacks, made the mechanics very complex. Without boring you with details, the process has been challenging yet fun. I can't wait to release StarStrykers. I don't think it will become a big hit, but it will provide me with a sense of accomplishment, and it will fill my heart with joy. Finally, I also find myself getting caught in a creative trap. Shortly after starting on StarStrykers, I found my mind pulling me into new project ideas. As I work to complete StarStrykers, I have a gamebook idea in the works as well as a competitive 2-player card game concept brewing.
